Brand development

City of Stonnington

As regular supporters of the local Melbourne arts scene Taylor & Grace offered their marketing and branding services to the City of Stonnington for a new arts initiative, "Arts Burst". The brief was to design a brand that would portray the creative, quirky and spontaneous nature of this series of events.

After a period of brainstorming and sketching a number of ideas were explored until the final concept, logo and promotional collateral were decided on. The design embodied the essential nature of surprise the arts burst offers. It used a vibrant warm colour palette (a warm glow to provide warmth in winter), playful typography and the instantly recognisable bubble gum pop/burst.

The festival proved very popular with the general public with council staff measuring approximately 2000 attendees. Social media played a strong role in promoting and reporting on the events and the work of T&G was appreciated. Although difficult to quantify in terms of direct influence the process was successful and the image created, iconic.
